Using the notion of a symmetric virtual diagonal for Banach algebra, we prove that algebra is symmetrically amenable if its second dual amenable. We introduce operator amenability in category completely contractive algebras as an analogue algebras. give some equivalent formulations and investigate hereditary properties show locally compact groups to Fourier algebra. The operator amenability of uniform algebras
We prove a quantized version of a theorem by M. V. Shĕınberg: A uniform algebra equipped with its canonical, i.e. minimal, operator space structure is operator amenable if and only if it is a commutative C∗-algebra.
متن کاملOperator amenability of Fourier–Stieltjes algebras
In this paper, we investigate, for a locally compact groupG, the operator amenability of the Fourier-Stieltjes algebra B(G) and of the reduced Fourier-Stieltjes algebra Br(G). The natural conjecture is that any of these algebras is operator amenable if and only if G is compact. We partially prove this conjecture with mere operator amenability replaced by operator C-amenability for some constant...
متن کامل00 5 Operator Amenability of Fourier – Stieltjes Algebras , Ii
We give an example of a non-compact, locally compact group G such that its Fourier–Stieltjes algebra B(G) is operator amenable. Furthermore, we characterize those G for which A * (G)—the spine of B(G) as introduced by M. Ilie and the second named author—is operator amenable and show that A * (G) is operator weakly amenable for each G.
متن کاملOperator space structure and amenability for Figà-Talamanca–Herz algebras
Column and row operator spaces — which we denote by COL and ROW, respectively — over arbitrary Banach spaces were introduced by the first-named author; for Hilbert spaces, these definitions coincide with the usual ones. Given a locally compact group G and p, p ∈ (1,∞) with 1 p + 1 p = 1, we use the operator space structure on CB(COL(L ′ (G))) to equip the Figà-Talamanca–Herz algebra Ap(G) with ...

Jordan C*-algebras go back to Kaplansky, see [20]. Let J be a complex Banach Jordan algebra, that is, a complex Banach space with commutative bilinear product x◦y satisfying x◦(x2◦y) = x2◦(x◦y) as well as ||x◦y|| ≤ ||x||·||y||, Bounded symmetric domains and generalized operator algebras 51 and suppose that on J is given a (conjugate linear) isometric algebra involution x 7→ x∗. Then J is called...
